The Kingdom of God

“Truly I tell you, no one who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will ever enter it.”

The phrase “Kingdom of God” means that God comes to earth to show His power and glory, and to take back what rightfully belongs to Him from Satan and the current world order.

It means much more than just salvation or the community of believers (the church). It is the powerful manifestation of God in all His works.

he Kingdom of God is the revelation of God’s His spiritual rule on earth, in the hearts and lives of His people. He comes with power—but this is spiritual power, not political or physical strength.

This Kingdom is not about religion mixed with politics. It is not trying to change the world through social action, politics, or violence. The world will stay against God and His people until this age ends.

Only at the end of this age will God fully show His power and judge the world to set up His rule.

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”

Because God shows Himself with power, the world enters into turmoil and distress. God’s clear display of power terrifies Satan’s dominion, and everyone must decide whether to submit to God’s sovereignty. The essential and necessary condition for entering God’s kingdom is to accept the proclamation, “Repent and believe the Gospel!” (Matthew 1:15)

“From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.’

The primary sign that a person lives in God’s Kingdom is being “filled with righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
